While the sun was shining this summer, Lauren and her family were keen for the Church family to share together in a barbecue.
An August Saturday lunchtime was chosen and the weather was glorious.
We met outside in our “triangle” tables and chairs were dotted around and out came the bunting too!
The food was delicious. You could choose from succulent beef burgers, tasty sausages or beautiful barbecued chicken. All were served with red slaw (Lauren’s speciality) and either chips or rice and peas.
It was a great time of fellowship and food and we were able to add money to our Property Project.
Everyone was keen to repeat this event, so a Sunday Lunch for after morning service on the bank holiday weekend was chosen.
Lauren was not discouraged by the weather, she still insisted on cooking outside and it became “laughter in the rain!” And it did rain too.
Despite the poor weather the food and fellowship was just as good as before, but sadly the weather was far from glorious.
Thanks to Lauren for making these days possible.
