The members at the project had a secret ballot to decide on their Christmas trip which took place on Saturday 22nd December 2013 at Team Sport Go Karting in Warrington. The group enjoyed spending time with their friends and participating in a new experience.
In January the project attended an anti-bullying workshop in which the young people worked in groups to develop discuss what bullying is, the impacts and where they can go for support. The group then put their ideas of bullying and responses to bullies into role plays.
The group are applying for funding from Manchester City Council to run an 8 weeks healthy lifestyle programme which will focus on all aspects of health including sport, emotional wellbeing and personal hygiene.
We are also working alongside Whitemoss Youth Centre to take part in the St George’s Day Parade in Manchester. The group are working on designing a banner to promote the project at the parade whilst they walk with other young people from North Manchester dressed as Knights.
